Searching for Alcossebre apartments or holiday rentals in Alcossebre usually ends in a long list of names that tell you nothing: Bovalar, Marino, Casablanca, Arcos... The useful question isn't "which building?" but "what type of accommodation do I need?". This site sorts what's on offer by type and then points you to the right building.
The information comes from the listings of Casa Azahar, the local agency that manages apartments in more than twenty buildings around the town, and from the Alcossebre Sea Experience aparthotel.
Types of accommodation in Alcossebre, in a nutshell
- With a pool: most complexes have one; the difference is whether there's a children's pool and whether it only opens in season. We cover this in apartments with a pool.
- On the seafront: only a few buildings are genuinely right by the sea, such as Casablanca (Playa Romana), Marino and Jardines del Puerto (Las Fuentes) or Ibiza (Cargador promenade).
- Villas with gardens: three-bedroom houses with a private garden and barbecue. See villas with gardens.
- Central with a lift: to do everything on foot and with no stairs, Bovalar and Mare Nostrum.
- Studios: the most compact option for two, such as Arcos II or Fuente Sol.
- For groups: up to 8 people in a three-bedroom apartment.
- Aparthotel: an apartment with hotel services. See aparthotel or apartment.

How to choose in three questions
1. How many of you are there? For two, a studio or a one-bedroom apartment. For four to six, a two-bedroom. For seven or eight, a three-bedroom (Mare Nostrum, Marcomar, Casablanca) or a villa.
2. What can't you do without? If it's the sea on your doorstep, go for the seafront. If it's the kids splashing about all afternoon, a children's pool. If someone has mobility issues, a lift. If you want to eat outdoors, a garden.
3. Do you want to cook and do your own thing, or have it all done for you? If you'd prefer a reception, spa and services, an aparthotel. If you'd prefer independence and space, an apartment.
With those three answers, the table in the accommodation comparison tells you which buildings fit.

Before you book
- July and August are the busiest months: book early, especially if you're after the seafront or space for a group.
- Many communal pools are seasonal: if you're travelling outside the summer, check the listing to see whether it will be open.
- None of the Casa Azahar buildings allow pets.
- Alcossebre enjoys more than 2,700 hours of sunshine a year, so spring and autumn are great times to visit too.
- Flying in from the UK or Ireland? The handiest airports are Castellón, Valencia, Reus and Barcelona.
